The Mountbatten Hotel Terms & Conditions




Cancellation:

By accepting your reservation, on payment of the first night as a deposit, we agree to keep a room available for you to the exclusion of all others, for the dates requested. If you cannot complete your booking for whatever reason and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance. 7 days notice is required for all cancellations. If we do succeed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance and we will refund it to you if you have already paid it. Please note that your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. When accommodation is reserved by a third-party, the cancellation charge automatically becomes the responsibility of the third party. We would recommend that you take out insurance to cover any cancellation.

 

Payment:

Payment may be made by credit or debit card or by cash. Cheques covering the full cost of your stay and cleared before your arrival are also accepted.

 

Children:

We welcome children of all ages as long as they are well behaved and are accompanied by a responsible guardian. Children's prices are applicable to children aged between 4 and 16, sharing a room with an adult. Accommodation for children under 4 is free. Children over the age of 12 are able to occupy their own room but at the full adult rate.

 

Arrival:

Your accommodation will be available to you from 3pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged.

 

Late Arrival:

Please ensure that you contact us no later than 3pm on the day of your booked arrival to let us know if you will be arriving after 10pm, as we do not operate a 24 hour reception.

 

Departure:

Please vacate your accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.

 

Keys:

Please take care of your Hotel keys. If you lose them, we have to change the locks and will charge you £50 towards the costs.

 

Electrical Equipment:

Electrical equipment that is brought into the Hotel is used at your own risk.

 

Take-Away Meals:

We do not allow take-aways to be brought into the Hotel. Bar meals are available each evening and packed lunches may be provided on request.

 

Smoking Policy:

In accordance with the law, we operate a No-Smoking Policy throughout the Hotel. Anyone abusing this will be asked to leave. Any rooms that have been smoked in will need deep cleaning and you will be charged a non-negotiable £50.00 for this service.

 

Damages And Breakages:

Whilst staying in our Hotel, you are responsible and liable for any loss, damage or personal injury that you, or someone in your party incurs or causes, during your stay.

 

Liability:

We do not accept any liability for any damage loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment, under the terms of The Hotel Proprietors Act 1956.

 

Pets:

Guide dogs for the blind and hearing dogs for the deaf are permitted by prior arrangement. We do not accept pets.
